 Duration of trip: 5 days

WEDNESDAY, DAY 1:

Raul and I will pick you up at the Tecate, CA. border at 11am.  From  there, we’ll drive south, a 3 ½ hour drive to the town of El Rosario where we’ll have dinner at the famous family owned restaurant “Mama Espinoza’s” (well known for their lobster burritos!) and spend the night in their comfortable Inn/Hotel.

THURSDAY, DAY 2:

After a nourishing breakfast at Mama Espinoza’s, we’ll leave El Rosario, continuing south for ½ hour until we turn off the highway, heading east into the desert mountains.  This is an incredible photo opportunity!  As we make our way to Rancho La Huertita, the desert landscape, its mountains, the giant Cardon cactus, and other colorful desert flora become the perfect backdrop for some incredible pictures!

After our leisurely drive through the desert, we’ll arrive at Rancho La Huertita by noon with a delicious Carne Asada lunch to welcome us, graciously prepared by the Loya Family, owners of Rancho La Huertita.

After lunch you’ll have time to relax, and become acquainted with your surroundings before we head out in our 4×4 vehicles, and into the majestic landscape where the Big Horn Sheep live.  Dinner will be waiting for us promptly upon our return.

DAY 3 AND 4:

There will be four outings scheduled for Friday and Saturday in the early  morning, and late afternoons.  Depending on what the group prefers we will schedule hiking or riding in our  4 x 4 vehicles to visit the Big Horn Sheep habitat.  Breakfast, lunch, and dinner is included these two days.

SUNDAY DAY 5:

After early morning coffee, we depart from Rancho La Huertita, and drive back to Mama Espinoza’s for breakfast before continuing on to Ensenada, and finally back to the Tecate, Ca. border.  We expect to arrive in Tecate  by 2 or 3 in the afternoon where you’ll walk back across the border and to your cars.
